It is Thailand’s first large bamboo building, built in 2006, inside a luxury resort “Sonovakiri,” located at Koh Kood, Trat Province, designed by 24H from the Netherlands.  The construction of this bamboo building was quite complicated. In that year, the construction of large bamboo buildings in Thailand had never been done before. So it’s a very difficult question. 

We and our team have to start studying the details of bamboo and all job details. For example, making curved bamboo beams with a length of 30 meters must test the weight of all bamboo beams by a team of engineers.

THE DEN Sonovakiri can be a famous bamboo building all over the world. by studying, researching and experimenting with the creation of thailandbamboo and related teams by applying knowledge from experiments education at that time Knowledge has been transferred and distributed to various areas across all regions, resulting in the increasing number of bamboo craftsmen in Thailand.

part of the design All inspiration comes from under the sea. The idea was sparked by the Manta ray, the queen of the sea, with its beautiful pattern spreading its wings. The form that comes out is like a child who has come in. I imagined that I was cruising in the beautiful sea itself.
